This haunting drama follows Samantha Morton's titular character, a young woman living in a Scottish port town who finds herself reeling after her boyfriend commits suicide on Christmas morning. With his unpublished manuscript and £100,000 advance, she embarks on a road trip to Spain with her best friend, using the novel as a way to reinvent her life. Through Morvern's journey, Lynne Ramsay masterfully explores the complexities of grief, loss, and identity, creating a powerful and enigmatic portrait of one person's devastating experience.
