A mysterious alien structure appears in the woods outside a small rural town, unleashing a sinister invasion of intelligent parasites that can control human minds and take over the authorities. As the people around them begin to fall under the mind control of the creatures, seven individuals who have managed to avoid possession embark on a desperate fight for survival against an enemy unlike any other. With their world turned upside down, they must use all their wits to stop the invasion and uncover the sinister forces behind it.
