Back Then

The film "Back Then" (2021) is a coming-of-age comedy-drama that explores the lives of three generations of the Makowski family in late communist Poland. The story follows Marta, played by Barbara Papis, as she grows up with her sister Kasia and their grandmother, who shares tales of insurgency instead of fairy tales. Kinga Preis stars as Elżbieta, Marta's mother, a leader of the "Solidarity" union at work, while Adam Woronowicz plays Tadek, her husband, who harbors dreams of a better life.
