The Story of My Wife

A sea captain, Jakob Störr (Gijs Naber), makes a bet that he will marry the first woman who walks into a café. He meets Lizzy (Léa Seydoux) and they get married after a week-long delay. As part of their arrangement, Jakob leaves for months at a time while Lizzy waits for him, but their initial happiness soon gives way to an unsettling obsession.
