The Shadow in My Eye

In 1945, a Royal Air Force de Havilland Mosquito strafes a car carrying several bridesmaids while flying over German-occupied Denmark, mistaking it for a German staff vehicle, leading to the accidental killing of civilians. The incident leaves one teenage boy, Henry, traumatized and mute, but eventually finds solace with his cousin Rigmor and her friend Eva in Copenhagen's Institut Jeanne d'Arc, where they find support amidst the city's growing resistance against the German occupation. As the RAF prepares for a second bombing raid on Gestapo headquarters, Henry struggles to come to terms with his past while Eva navigates her own relationships and Sister Hanna confronts her faith.
