Mr. 3000

Aging baseball legend Stan "Mr. 3000" Ross, once a conceited and arrogant superstar, must confront his own legacy when he discovers he never actually reached 3,000 hits in his illustrious career. Now at age 47, Ross makes a comeback to try and salvage his reputation, but struggles to regain his baseball form amidst the skepticism of his younger teammates and the scrutiny of television sportscaster Maureen "Mo" Simmons. Despite this, Ross becomes a mentor to the team's star player, inspiring a late-season comeback that earns him a place in the Baseball Hall of Fame, even if he never reaches his elusive milestone.
