Liar's Moon

In 1940s east Texas, Jack Duncan, a high school graduate from a blue-collar family, falls in love with Ginny Peterson, who has just returned to town from four years of boarding school, under the "liar's moon" of youth and first love, set against the backdrop of oil fields and small-town secrets. Their whirlwind romance culminates in an elopement to Louisiana, where 17-year-olds can marry without parental consent. But as their young love faces opposition from all sides, including a menacing private eye hired by Ginny's father, they must confront the harsh realities of adulthood - and the darkness that lies beneath the surface of small-town America.
