We Were Soldiers

In the midst of the Vietnam War, Lieutenant Colonel Hal Moore leads his battalion into the treacherous Ia Drang Valley, a battle-scarred landscape known as "The Valley of Death". With 400 men against an overwhelming enemy force of 4,000, Moore's mission is to capture and hold the valley. As he prepares for one of the most violent battles in U.S. history, he delivers a stirring promise to his soldiers and their families: "I will leave no man behind...dead or alive." The battle rages on, with intense artillery fire, helicopter airlifts, and mortar rounds, as Moore's men fight for survival against a ruthless enemy.
