Shakedown

In the dark alleys and backroom deals of 1950s San Francisco, a ruthless game of cat and mouse unfolds in Joseph Pevney's crime film noir "Shakedown". A cunning newspaper photographer, Jack Early, (Howard Duff) plays both sides against each other, using his wits and a camera to further his own ambitions. As he navigates the treacherous world of organized crime, Jack's unscrupulous tactics lead him down a path of despair and ultimately, to a deadly confrontation with his own enemies.
