What's Eating Gilbert Grape

In the small town of Endora, Iowa, Gilbert Grape is a young man struggling to care for his mother, Bonnie, who suffers from obesity and depression, and his mentally disabled younger brother Arnie. As Gilbert tries to balance his life, including an ongoing affair with local woman Betty Carver and working at the Lamson's Grocery store, he meets Becky, a free-spirited woman who shakes up his routine. With the help of Becky, Gilbert learns to confront his responsibilities and find a way to support Arnie as he turns 18.
