Silence and Cry

In the turbulent era following World War I, Hungary is torn apart by nationalism and fear, as the communist Republic of Councils collapses under a relentless counter-revolution led by Admiral Horthy. Against this backdrop of terror and persecution, "Silence and Cry" tells the story of István Cserzi, a former Red Army soldier forced to flee for his life and take refuge on a farm in the Great Hungarian Plains, where he must navigate the moral complexities of denouncing the farm's owners, who are hiding from the authorities.
