Koran by Heart

Three 10-year-old children from Senegal, Tajikistan, and the Maldives embark on an extraordinary journey to participate in The International Holy Koran Competition, a test of memory and recitation against elite students from around the world. As they face uncertain futures at home, caught between fundamentalist and moderate visions of Islam, these young competitors must summon their skills - and creative flair - to outshine their older peers through improvised melodies accompanying each recitation.
