Metal Lords

"Metal Lords," a 2022 American teen comedy-drama film, follows two high school best friends and metal music lovers, Hunter and Kevin, who start a metal band against societal norms after their respective misadventures with the marching band, jock Skip, and a party at Clay's house. Guitarist Tom Morello was an executive producer and wrote some of the songs performed in the film. As they navigate love triangles, rival bands, and personal growth, Hunter adopts a grueling daily practice schedule, learning metal playlists by ear, while Kevin becomes mutually interested with Emily, a skilled cello player who joins their band, Skullfucker, at the Battle of the Bands contest.
