Spoiled and rebellious Poppy Moore from Malibu, California, damages her widowed father's new girlfriend's belongings and is sent to an English boarding school by Gerry, hoping that something will change. There, she learns the true meaning of life and friendship among a group of girls who initially reject her selfishness, but eventually welcome her into their fold. As Poppy navigates this new world, she discovers her talent for lacrosse and finds love with a fellow student, all while facing challenges that force her to confront her past and accept responsibility for her actions.
