El Diablo

Billy Ray Smith (Anthony Edwards), a timid young schoolteacher from Boston living in Texas, vows to rescue Nettie Tuleen from the outlaw El Diablo (Robert Beltran). With the help of professional gunfighter Thomas Van Leek (Louis Gossett Jr.), Billy Ray assembles a team to take down El Diablo. Along the way, they encounter a series of comedic misadventures and unexpected allies, including Kid Durango (Joe Pantoliano), a notorious outlaw with a penchant for spinning tall tales about his exploits. As the unlikely duo closes in on their nemesis, they must confront their own ineptitude and learn to trust each other to save Nettie.
