The Soul of Bread

In "The Soul of Bread", Gao-bing (Hank Chen Han-Dian) is a baker at a small-town bakery run by Mr Chiu, his former mentor and friend. The business is struggling, and Gao-bing's girlfriend Ping (Michelle Chen Yan-Hsi), who grew up together, suggests he learn new skills to save it. Meanwhile, Bread (Anthony Neely), a charming American-born pastry chef, arrives in town and catches Ping's eye with his European-style baking. As tensions rise between the two men, Gao-bing must confront his own feelings and find a way to keep his bakery afloat.
