Einstein and Eddington

In 1914, during the outbreak of World War I, British scientist Sir Arthur Stanley Eddington is appointed chief astronomer at Cambridge to research Albert Einstein's work, despite being a conscientious objector and Quaker. Meanwhile, Einstein is lured back from Zürich to Berlin in an attempt to aid the war effort by disproving Newtonian physics. Through their unlikely friendship, Eddington becomes the first scientist to prove Einstein's theory of general relativity through observations of the solar eclipse of 1919, confirming his faith and vindicating his work.
