Égi bárány

"Égi bárány" (1971) is a thought-provoking allegory that explores the suppression of the 1919 Hungarian Revolution and the rise of fascism in Hungary. The film follows Father Vargha (József Madaras), a fanatical priest who initially spares the life of an eccentric revolutionary, only to later lead massacres. A new force, led by Feher (Daniel Olbrychski), appears to avenge the people, but only to impose a more refined and effective form of repression.
