The Fever tells the story of Justino (Regis Myrupu), a 45-year-old member of the indigenous Desana people who works as a security guard at a cargo port in Manaus. His daughter Vanessa (Rosa Peixoto) prepares to leave for university, while Justino struggles with a mysterious fever that coincides with rumors about a creature in the neighborhood. The film explores themes of identity, culture, and urbanization through the eyes of an indigenous character navigating modern life.
