The Cow and I

In "The Cow and I" (1959), Fernandel stars as Charles Bailly, a French prisoner of war in Germany who decides to escape by walking away with a cow named Marguerite. Their epic journey takes them through the Bavarian countryside, where they meet various people, including some sympathetic and others not. As they face danger and hilarity along the way, Bailly must part with his loyal companion Marguerite when reaching Stuttgart, but she proves to be an unexpected hero in their narrow escape from German soldiers.
