Peace Hotel

In this visually lavish Western, Chow Yun-Fat stars as Wong A-ping, a former warlord who sets up a sanctuary hotel called the Peace Hotel to protect those in need. When a mysterious woman named Shau Shiu-man arrives at the hotel, claiming to be one of his old loves, she is actually on the run from a gang and manipulates her way into gaining Wong's trust, testing his vow not to harm anyone who seeks refuge within the hotel's walls. As tensions rise between Wong and the gang, their confrontation leads to a bloody swordfight that ultimately determines Shau's fate and Wong's true identity as a former leader of the bandits he once terrorized.
