The Beast with a Million Eyes

In the bleak California desert landscape, a small family struggles to survive on their date ranch, only to be attacked by both wild and domesticated animals after a mysterious object crashes nearby. A space alien, known as "the beast" with a million eyes, takes control of the area's lesser animals and begins working its way up to humans, part of its master plan to conquer Earth. The family must band together and show love to each other in order to defeat the alien menace, but not before it escapes into the mind of a rat, where it is killed by a hawk.
