Highball

In the early 2000s, a hapless Brooklyn couple, Diane and Travis, attempt to upgrade their social lives by hosting an increasingly absurd series of parties at their Brooklyn apartment. Shot in just six days in 1997, "Highball" was meant to be a comedy-drama about the trials and tribulations of friendships during these gatherings, but ultimately fell victim to Noah Baumbach's own creative misgivings and a tumultuous production history that would see it released on DVD without his approval.
