New York City Serenade

Two down-on-their-luck childhood friends struggle to figure out their lives. Ray, a drummer in a rock and roll band, and Owen, an aspiring filmmaker, spend most of their time working menial jobs, drinking, and trying to make ends meet. When Owen's fiancé breaks off their engagement, he spirals downward, and Ray comes along for the ride to a two-bit film festival in Kansas, where Owen tries to patch up his relationship while Ray causes chaos by posing as Wally Shawn's son. By the end, Owen makes some changes in their relationship and life.
