"Slam" is a 2018 Australian drama film that follows Ricky Nasser (Adam Bakri), a young Arab Australian whose peaceful suburban life is turned on its head when his sister Ameena (Danielle Horvat) disappears without a trace. In a climate of distrust and xenophobia, Ricky must navigate the complex web of misinformation and suspicion surrounding Ameena's disappearance. With excellent performances from the leads and expert cinematography, "Slam" is a gripping and thought-provoking viewing experience that unspools at an unhurried pace.
