"The Spiral Road" is a 1962 American adventure-drama film directed by Robert Mulligan and starring Rock Hudson as Dr. Anton Drager, who travels to Java to study leprosy under Dr. Brits Jansen (Burl Ives), but finds himself changed by his jungle ordeal, turning him from an atheist into a Christian after rescuing another doctor and nearly dying in the wild.
