Heartland

Widowed Elinor Randall (Conchata Ferrell) and her young daughter Jerrine travel to a remote Wyoming ranch in 1910, where Elinor works as a housekeeper for Clyde Stewart (Rip Torn), a reserved Scottish rancher. After seeing the beauty of the Wyoming countryside, Elinor becomes determined to file a claim on land, but can't afford to build a house. Clyde agrees to build her a house if she marries him, and the new family faces hardship during the winter when they run low on money and hay for their animals.
