The Convent

An over-the-top horror/comedy that’s creative, energetic and edgy, but it’s too wannabe ‘hip’ and overcompensates, capturing a group of college students who break into an abandoned convent only to discover it's inhabited by demons intent on possessing them. The film premieres at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2000 and is later released in December 2002 after being cut by 19 seconds for its NC-17 rating.
