Wild Reeds

In the sweltering summer of 1962, four teenagers in Villeneuve-sur-Lot, southern France, are about to navigate the complexities of adolescence and the tumultuous end of the Algerian War. As they explore their identities, desires, and loyalties, a shy young man named François finds himself torn between his burgeoning homosexuality and his relationships with two enigmatic classmates: Serge, a sensual country boy; Maïté, François's best friend and confidante; and Henri, an Algerian-born French exile with a radical political agenda.
