In this offbeat comedy-drama, a disillusioned medical student finds himself stranded in the picturesque but eccentric world of Northern California after his professor fails him and the actress he slept with abandons him on a road trip to the redwoods. He joins the family of pot farmers who took her in as a child, and through his work on their marijuana crop, begins to understand empathy and love, which helps him overcome his bitterness and disillusionment. As he falls deeper into the rural community, Peter faces unexpected challenges and confrontations that force him to reevaluate his priorities and find redemption.
