The Experimental City

In 1960s Minneapolis, a groundbreaking experiment was born out of frustration with urban pollution - Athelstan Spilhaus's ambitious project to create a futuristic metropolis. Dubbed the Minnesota Experimental City (MXC), this domed city would be built from scratch for 250,000 pioneering residents, showcasing cutting-edge technology in a radical bid to halt sprawl and pollution. However, as filmmaker Chad Friedrichs reveals, the execution of MXC's vision was far from seamless.
