In a haunting and thought-provoking documentary, "Brother's Keeper" examines the alleged 1990 murder of William Ward by his brother Delbert in a rural New York community. As the film unfolds, it raises questions about mercy killing, coercion, and the power of community support in the face of prosecution. Through intimate portraits of the Ward family members, including their isolated yet endearing way of life as semi-literate farmers, "Brother's Keeper" sheds light on a complex and deeply personal case that sparks controversy and debate.
