The Forgiven

A weekend in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco sets off a chain reaction of events when David Henninger accidentally kills a young teenager while driving intoxicated. His attempts to cover up the accident lead to a downward spiral of violence and tragedy, exposing the dark underbelly of privilege and racism. The film's talented cast, including Ralph Fiennes and Jessica Chastain, struggles to elevate this uneven drama into something more than just a shallow exploration of the wealthy elite's blind spots.
