The Gendarme of Saint-Tropez

The Troops of St. Tropez (1964) is a comedy film about Ludovic Cruchot (Louis de Funès), a gendarme transferred to Saint-Tropez, where he struggles to maintain authority amidst his daughter's rebellious teenage years and the town's persistent nudist problem. As he navigates these challenges, his daughter and her friends unwittingly get entangled in a robbery involving a stolen Rembrandt painting, which leads to a series of comedic misunderstandings. Geneviève Grad plays Cruchot's daughter Nicole, who tries to impress her rich friends by exaggerating her father's wealth.
