Junior wedding planner Lauren Crandell (Denise Richards) clashes with a big job when she meets fireman Nick Corina (Dean Cain), her client's groom-to-be. They reconnect at a bridal magazine interview and later share a romantic evening, but their budding relationship is put to the test as Lauren navigates her demanding work and personal life. With help from her best friend and Nick's brother Jay (Yannick Bisson), Lauren must confront her own feelings and learn to prioritize her happiness.
