Purple Hearts

An aspiring musician agrees to a marriage of convenience with a soon-to-deploy Marine, but a tragedy soon turns their fake relationship all too real. Cassie Salazar, a waitress/bartender struggling with type 1 diabetes, enters into an arrangement with Luke Morrow, a Marine in need of health insurance and financial stability. As they navigate their ruse, they develop feelings for each other, but their differences - including Luke's troubled past and his impending deployment - threaten to tear them apart. The film follows Cassie's journey from performing at bars to finding love and healing through music, as she confronts the complexities of her relationship with Luke and the realities of military life.
