In 1984, India faces another airplane hijacking challenge, which RAW Agent Bell Bottom (Akshay Kumar) must see through and lead India's first overseas covert operation against a Khalistan separatist group, with help from Adeela Rehman (Huma Qureshi). The film is inspired by real life hijacking events in India during the 1980s, including the Indian Airlines Flight 423, 405 and 421 hijackings.
