Para Para Sakura

Para Para Sakura follows Phillip Wong, a dance instructor from Hong Kong who teaches at a popular dance studio in Shanghai. Despite being a charismatic dancer and physically attractive, Phillip is insecure as his achromatopsia often leads to socially awkward situations. He intervenes, protecting Yuriko Sakurada (Cecilia Cheung), the heiress of a major Japanese keiretsu, from men in suits. As they grow closer, Yuri encourages Phillip to overcome his insecurities and teaches him to dance, deepening their emotional connection. When Yuri's arranged marriage is called off, she proposes fleeing to Morocco with Phillip, but he is betrayed by his friends, leading to a painful breakup. Devastated, Phillip tries to stop the wedding in Japan, only to discover that the marriage was never genuine; instead, it was a strategic formality between their families.
