An American Rhapsody

The film follows Suzanne "Zsuzsi" Sandor, played by Scarlett Johansson, as she leaves her life in Hungary behind and is forced to flee with her parents, Margit and Peter, after being separated from them during their escape to the United States. Years later, when Zsuzsi reaches adulthood, she decides to travel back to Budapest to discover her true identity amidst the oppressive communist regime. As Zsuzsi navigates this journey of self-discovery, she encounters the harsh realities of Hungary under Mátyás Rákosi's rule and grapples with the sacrifices made by her family for her own freedom.
