In 1920s Vienna, former detective Peter Perg returns home from years of captivity to find a city transformed by social and artistic freedom, but also riddled with anti-democratic movements and unemployment. When one of his former comrades is murdered, Perg's life takes a deadly turn as the mysterious killings of veterans mount, drawing him into a dark web of intrigue and moral dilemma. As he teams up with forensic doctor Theresa Körner to solve the crimes, they confront a brutal and systematic killer and corruption within the police force.
