Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

The film "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" (1963) is an Italian comedy anthology directed by Vittorio De Sica, starring Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni. The movie consists of three short stories about couples in different parts of Italy: Adelina, a pregnant Neapolitan woman who exploits her status to avoid imprisonment; Anna, a wealthy Milanese housewife who falls for a lower-class writer; and Mara, a prostitute from Rome who befriends a young man studying for the priesthood. The film won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 37th Academy Awards.
