The Escape

Denmark-based journalist Rikke Lyngvig (Iben Hjejle) is taken hostage in Afghanistan by a terror group and eventually escapes with the help of one of her captors, Nazir Osmani (Faegh Zamani). Upon her return, she becomes an unlikely hero, sparking a media frenzy. When Nazir finally tracks Rikke down, their complicated past forces her to confront the consequences of her newfound fame and the nation's insatiable appetite for sensationalism.
