The Holy Inquisition

In 16th century Mexico, a plague ravages the land, and the Roman Catholic Church's Inquisition targets Jews, whom they believe are the cause of the outbreak. Luis de Carvajal (Jorge Luke), a monk who witnesses his family practicing Jewish burial rites at his father's funeral, reports them to the authorities, leading to devastating consequences for the entire Carvajal family and the secret Jewish community of New Spain that they belong to.
