Mazes and Monsters

A group of college students, including Robbie Wheeling (Tom Hanks), and his friends, become obsessed with a fantasy role-playing game called Mazes and Monsters, leading to a series of events that blur the lines between reality and fantasy. As they explore an abandoned cavern for their game, Robbie's obsession escalates into a psychotic episode, causing him to lose touch with reality. His friends intervene, using the game's rules to bring him back from the brink, but the experience leaves them shaken and concerned about Robbie's well-being.
