Tumbleweeds

A single mother's quest for stability is put to the test as she moves from city to city with her pre-teen daughter, Ava, only to find herself drawn back into a controlling and abusive relationship with a trucker who has re-entered their lives in San Diego. As Ava navigates her own adolescence, including landing a starring role in the school play, she begins to rebel against her mother's carefree attitude, forcing Mary Jo to confront the need for significant changes in their lives. Along the way, they both must rebuild and rediscover themselves, ultimately finding a new sense of normalcy together.
