The Cabbage Soup

In this quirky French science fiction comedy-drama, two elderly buddy farmers, Claude Ratinier and Francis Chérasse, are visited by an alien who shares their love for domestic cabbage soup, a staple of their rural life. The extraterrestrial's presence sets off a chain of events that transforms their lives, including the resurrection of Claude's late wife and the offer to relocate them to a planet where they can live to 200 years old surrounded by cabbage fields. However, modernization threatens to disrupt their peaceful existence, forcing them to confront the choices between preserving their way of life or embracing the unknown.
