Ponzi

In the comedy film "Ponzi", a mismatched group of people attempt to pull off an amateur heist after falling prey to a Ponzi scheme. The movie is based on the experiences of Nigerians who were affected by the 2016 MMM Ponzi scheme, and it stars Jide Kosoko as a wealthy politician who gains the trust of his constituents before swindling them. Shot in Lagos but set in Ota, Ogun State, "Ponzi" uses an innovative voice technique to tell its story, with one actress also serving as the omniscient narrator.
