The Red Balloon

A young boy named Pascal (Pascal Lamorisse) discovers a large, helium-filled red balloon on his way to school one morning in Paris. The balloon seems to have a mind of its own and follows him everywhere he goes, causing attention and envy from other children. As Pascal and the balloon explore the city, they encounter various adventures, including a wild chase through narrow alleys, a gang of older boys who steal the balloon, and eventually, a cluster balloon ride over the city that redeems the lost balloon.
