Akram Khan's Giselle is a masterpiece of 21st century dance, reimagining the classic tale of love, betrayal and redemption for the modern era. Set in a condemned garment factory, where a community of migrant workers are cast out, this haunting adaptation brings together Adolphe Adam's original score with an ominous, gothic aesthetic. Filmed live at the Liverpool Empire in 2017, this cinematic version features stunning performances by Tamara Rojo and the English National Ballet Philharmonic, accompanied by Academy-Award winning designer Tim Yip and Tony Award-winning lighting designer Mark Henderson.
