Alien Apocalypse

In this 2005 Sci-Fi channel original movie, astronaut doctor Ivan Hood and his fellow astronaut Kelly return from their 40-year space mission to find Earth has been taken over by giant, termite-like aliens who feast on wood and use E.M.P. bombs to cripple the planet before their invasion. The humans are treated as slaves, with Dr. Hood and Kelly planning an escape that sets off a chain of events leading to a rebellion against the alien overlords, ultimately resulting in the defeat of the bugs and the emergence of Dr. Hood as "The Great Exterminator".
